A native of Wheeling, WV, Dr. Gayle Neldon earned her undergraduate degree in Speech
Pathology at West Liberty University in 1977. The following year, she attended graduate
school at West Virginia University and has lived and worked in Morgantown
since, eventually accepting a position in WVU’s Department of Communication
Sciences and Disorders in 1990. Dr. Neldon earned her Doctor of Education
degree in Technology Education. Her dissertation title was “Electronic Clinic Journaling:
The Use of Weblogs to Support Evidence-Based Practice in Doctor of Audiology Students.”
She and her husband have two adult children.
